Tinsley 14 is a sparkle yarn with 90% superwash Merino wool & 10% Lurex. Lurex is a thread made from a thin strip of aluminum sandwiched between two plastic films. Lurex does not tarnish, and is strong enough to be used in looms. The Lurex thread is milled into this spun yarn meaning it will not flake out like most other sparkle yarn tweeds.
