Everything you need to know

Unicorn 17 is single ply 70% superwash Merino wool & 30% silk blend yarn. Unicorn 17 has a wonderful drape when crocheted or knit into a garment. Due to the high silk content we do not recommend machine washing this yarn! You should hand wash & lay flat to dry. All hand-dyed yarns should be hand washed to preserve color.
Unicorn 17 is milled with a high twist in order to help bind the Superwash treated Merino with the silk fibers. You can put a little weight on the skeins to lessen the natural curling effect. When the yarn is dry try twisting into a skein and slap the skein once on a hard surface like a tabletop. Do this again on the other end. This will open the fibers a bit and help to lessen the curling.
